I have a bunch partially written. But I have to say, sales were dismal. Jules had several books planned. If I have time, I may write those and self pub them.
Just finished the Deputy Joe series and I loved it. I’ve previously read all of the Taking the Odds books and these too are excellent. I’m definitely looking forward to more of your books – and not necessarily those which are part of the series – so please keep them coming.
Typing as fast as I can. Just sent a novella off to my editor at Riptide and banging out another stand alone novel with a working title of The Bone Codex.
Love Laying Ghosts, in fact have loved everything so far about Joe and Kabe and can’t wait for next book. Have only read this series so far, love your style so going to try other books of yours next
About 50k written on book 4 of Joe/Kabe. At this point I don’t have anything more planned for Nick/Brandon. But if I get a plot that is more than just “curtain fic” I’ll certainly consider it.
YAYYAYAYAY!!!!!!!!!!! Just downloaded Laying Ghosts…….happy happy happy, joy joy joy. Saturday afternoon in New Zealand, sun shining down, ahhhhhhh utter contentment, out on the deck, under umbrella, glass of wine and Kindle, bliss.
Waiting impatiently for the next book. Love your books, and especially enjoyed the detailed description of Nick’s job. Keep checking back with MLR to to see if the new one is out yet.
Do wish someone would take hold of that website and shake it inside out and upside down and bring it to life! Lots of great authors but it is so boring and so little info, and what about a decent search engine…
Hope you had a wonderful Christmas.
Quick question, I read an article titled “Book Lovers: Get Booked! Romance Reading at Las Vegas Pride,” that mentioned Laying Ghosts having been released in October through mlr press. The article even provided a link to the website; however, the book was not there. I was under the impression that it had yet to be released. I receive the updates via email with friction with fiction so I don’t believe I’ve missed anything but I would love a little clearifacation. Thanks again!!!
Fluid yes…mostly because of my sch. with the hours I’m working, it was hard getting the last bit to my editor. Looking like late Jan. or early Feb now.
I have recently read Cheating Chance and loved it. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the books in the series. I see that there was a short story, Technique, included in Toy Box: Handcuffs which is not published anymore and I was wondering if the story was available anywhere else? Thank you.
I just wanted to stop by and leave a quick word of praise. I like many others here, can not wait for Laying Ghosts to come out but I will happily reread my previous Deputy Joe and Taking the Odds books in the mean time! Thank you so much for your wonderful characters and series! Take as much time as you need. I swear each book gets better and better!! Thanks again for all you do
I’m almost done! The end is in sight and I’m getting close to sending it off to the editor. Looks like a Thanksgiving release date is being bandied about.
I really enjoyed your Duputy Joe series! Kabe cracks me up with his cursing! LOL. I was wondering if you had any plans to write another book for the series?! Thanks for a great series. Next up Taking the Odds series!

Love the Cheating Chance and Deputy Joe novels as well, however, The River of Time series completely hooked me. Any more books planned?

Joe has a special place in my heart, I have to say. I’m glad you liked him and I hope you like the other books as well.
Finished Laying Ghosts last night…..love Joe and Kabe as much as Nick and Brandon. Any more books on both partnerships planned?????

YAY!!!!!!!
Woohoo, thank you!!!

I have a good author fried who lives in N-zed. One day I’ll have to get our butts there.
Enjoy Joe and Kabe!
YES, Laying Ghosts is now appearing on the ‘Upcoming’ page at MLR!!
THE E-BOOK IS NOW AVAILABLE AT MLR, with the print edition to follow!!!!
Your novels are wonderful, especially how you deal with the complexities of family, social & religious pressures. Brandon is my favorite character.
Thanks. I have a special place in my heart for Brandon too.
Does Laying Ghosts have a release date yet?!?
Mid February early March.
Waiting impatiently for the next book. Love your books, and especially enjoyed the detailed description of Nick’s job. Keep checking back with MLR to to see if the new one is out yet.

Christmas was great. Mid February to early March…depending on how long proofing takes.
I agree with your other fans; Nick and Brandon could make a terrific series.
I don’t know as they have more than three books in them.

I check MLR couple times a week…haven’t seen Laying Ghosts yet (either). Their release dates seem to be a bit…’fluid.’
Fluid yes…mostly because of my sch. with the hours I’m working, it was hard getting the last bit to my editor. Looking like late Jan. or early Feb now.
Thanks for the schedule update!
I was going to read from it, but it wasn’t slated for release in October.

I see that there was a short story, Technique, included in Toy Box: Handcuffs which is not published anymore and I was wondering if the story was available anywhere else? Thank you.
It was up as a freebee short, I need to post it here, but I’ll email you a copy.

Working on book 3 right now.
What about Nick and Brandon?
When I have an idea that moves the story forward and doesn’t just recycle shit, I’ll write it.
More Nick and Brandon please.
I agree with Mary, more Nick and Brandon!
Now now Mario, we’re all trying to wait patiently for James’ next book…no need to be testy.
And I appreciate the patience
bitch
bite me.
I second Murphys comment!! I’ve read Nick & Brandon’s stories so many times I can’t just get enough of them.
I only have so many hours in the day…
I have been enjoying Joe and Kabe, but I am hooked on Nick and Brandon. I would love a book about them trying to live together.
let me get there…
I know that you have been very busy on your new job! Still like it? But, are you ever going to write about Nick and Brandon again?
I can only write so fast…O.O
Bought a Nook and discovered your novels, thank you, thank you!
chic
You’re welcome. I’m glad you like them.
